Chinese Name: Mu Gua
Mu Gua, or commonly known as the Papaya Fruit, is a type of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herb that is commonly used to promote healthy digestion, as well as relieve cramping, pain in the lower back and knees and edema (water retention).
In TCM theory, Mu Gua promote healthy blood circulation, unblock "qi" channels and transform dampness, relieving abdominal pain, bloating and constipation. Mu Gua is also commonly used to relieve menstrual pain and regulate menstrual cycle.
With open channels, Mu Gua can also help to ease edema (water retention), severe cramping pain and weakness in the low back and legs.
