Evening Primrose Oil
Evening primrose oil (EPO) comes from the seeds of a plant native to North America and its flowers bloom once before dusk and withers by the next morning. EPO is high in essential omega-6 fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), that helps maintain youthful skin and regulate hormonal balance.
As GLA helps regulate hormonal balance, EPO has the ability to reduce tendencies of premenstrual (PMS) symptoms and menopause discomforts, for instance, hormone-induced acne and breast tenderness, and hot flashes. EPO can also improve skin conditions such as dry, flaky skin and eczema.
