Elderberry
Latin Name: Sambucus Nigra
Type: Herb, Antioxidant
Elderberry comes from the Sambucus tree, which is a flower plant, traditionally used to reduce severity and duration of cold and flu.
Due to its rich concentration of polyphenol, it provides antioxidant, anti-inflammatory benefits. It has also shown to promote defense against respiratory tract viral infections and its symptoms (e.g. cough, sneezing). Being a diuretic (promote increased urination), it can maintain good urinary tract health.
