Omega-6 Fatty Acids
Omega-6 is an essential fatty acid that maintains healthy nerve function, manage symptoms related to menopause and pre-menstruation, and promotes healthy skin.
There are two common types of omega-6 fatty acids, namely linoleic acid (LA) and gamma-linoleic acid (GLA). However the body cannot produce omega-6 fatty on its own so it has to be obtained through diet. Common food sources include vegetable oil, evening primrose oil, borage oil, black seed oil and flax seed oil.
